About meProfile of Maria Righetti In 1991, and living in Millport, I became a qualified aerobics instructor and taught classes throughout Ayrshire including exercise to music, step and circuit training. My move to Clarkston in 1998 coincided with a change in direction to my career in the fitness industry. I wanted a new and fresher challenge, and armed with both self-belief and a positive attitude, I achieved my goal and qualified as a personal fitness trainer. It turned out to be the best decision of my life. Despite the increasing emphasis and people's awareness that exercise plays a major part in helping to lead a healthier lifestyle, many people feel intimidated or afraid about becoming a member of a gym. I am delighted to be able to offer a facility, second to none, to people who want to get fit, or lose weight, or who just want general advice about their fitness. Specifically designed for 1-2-1 (individual) training, my extensively equipped facility has everything necessary for anyone wanting to get fit, no matter their fitness level (including treadmill, cross trainer, spin bike, free weights, multigym and also a full range of Pilates equipment). They will be guaranteed privacy, feel relaxed and receive 100% motivation and back-up support from myself. My clients (male and female) range from being in their teens to one who, admirably, is in her mid-seventies, proving that when it comes to exercise, age is not a restriction. As an alternative, for those who prefer a less vigorous workout but still want to exercise, 1-2-1 Pilates could be just what you are looking for. The most rewarding aspect for me in this industry is when a client reaches his/her goal and seeing their reaction. From never exercising to running a marathon, or losing over 2 stones in weight through exercise and healthier diet, the many success stories of my clients are varied. As a personal trainer, I have merely helped them to demonstrate what they were always capable of achieving. |
